DataSpace1 data center has successfully passed certification audit for compliance with security requirements of the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI DSS).
In March, the Moscow-based DataSpace1 data center has received a confirmation that its infrastructure complies with all requirements of PCI DSS v.3. During the certification, the audit team has thoroughly reviewed security procedures, access control system, perimeter security measures and CCTV archive depth of DataSpace1.
DataSpace is laser focused on maintaining highly secure and reliable data centers. This claim is now supported by the PCI DSS certificate, as well as by previously earned Tier III Design Documentation, Tier III Constructed Facility and Tier III Operational Sustainability-Gold certificates by the Uptime Institute.
"This achievement confirms that in addition to highest levels of infrastructure reliability and the complete set of certificates from the Uptime Institute to prove that, our DataSpace1 data center also meets the high standards of data security common within the payment card industry”, commented Kirill Pavelev, Vice President of Technology on obtaining the certificate. "We believe that full compliance with PCI DSS requirements, coupled with the best availability on the Russian market will guarantee our customers the best data security here at DataSpace1. Plus, having the PCI DSS certificate for our DataSpace1 data center will make the life easier for our customers from the payment and financial services industry, because now they would not have to worry about the annual physical security audit, as we will now be able to handle it for them, as part of our colocation services package".
The PCI DSS describes the guidelines for ensuring security of cardholder information during processing, transmission and storage. It was developed by PCI SSC (PCI Security Standards Council), formed by Visa, MasterCard, JCB, American Express and Discovery. Certification of data center under the PCI DSS guarantees protection of customer data from potential fraud or theft of information during transactions. DialogNauka - one of the leading IT security consulting companies in Russia was responsible for certifying DataSpace1 data center.
